Expansion Fire Foam Branchpipes
A
series of low expansion foam branchpipes. The three basic models provide
nominal foam solutions through inputs of 225, 450 and 900 litres / min.
at 7 bar. The branchpipes have been designed to match the characteristics
of our inductors. Correct matching is essential if optimum performance
is to be obtained.

Portable
Inductors
Portable
inductors are matched with branchpipes, provide the simplest possible
means of getting the foam to the fire where it is needed.
The portable inductors can be placed near a portable pump or hydrant
outlet, minimising manpower requirements and leaving the firefighter
to concentrate on the foam application.
Light and corrosion resistant, the portable inductors have been designed
to minimise pressure loss across the inductor (35% maximum). Induction
can be varied using a handwheel to allow the use of any foam concentrate
to 1% to 6%.

Medium
Expansion Foam Branchpipes
These
Branchpipes produce medium expansion foam which is effective on a wide
range of fires including both flammable liquids and solids. Fabricated
in stainless steel the units are tough, lightweight and compact, fitting
easily into fire appliance lockers. They produce long throws of a coherent
foam stream at low pressures and high volume of foam produced gives
rapid coverage over a large area but with minimum water usage. This
makes them ideal for rapid foam cover in outdoor situations or for enclosed
fires where total flooding with foam is possible. The Branchpipes are
matched to our Inline Inductors. The M.EX 225 and M.EX 450 are suitable
for use with foam concentrates.

* Hydrocarbon liquid spill fires for example in road tanker or crashed
vehicle fires
* Fires in foam destructive fuels using Alcoseal foam
* Total flooding applications such as cellars, cable ducts, engine rooms,
storage rooms etc. where solid and liquid fuels may be involved
* Control of vapour release from toxic or flammable liquid spills
* Supplied complete with 2.5" instantaneous couplings to BS336
